Business Development Engineer – Cyber Security

Roles & Responsibilities

1) Business Development & Lead Generation

• Identify and generate new business opportunities in the cyber security domain.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
• Reach out to potential clients through calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking events, and referrals.
• Research target industries such as IT, BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, manufacturing, and startups.

2) Client Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships with decision-makers such as CIOs, CISOs, IT Heads, and business owners.
• Understand client security challenges, risks, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular follow-ups and nurture leads into long-term business partnerships.
• Ensure high client satisfaction and retention.

3) Solution Consulting & Technical Coordination

• Understand client requirements related to:
• Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT)
• Network Security
• Cloud Security
• Endpoint Security
• SOC / SIEM services
• Compliance audits
• Managed security services
• Coordinate with technical teams to prepare suitable cyber security solutions.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, solution documents, and scope of work.

4) Proposal, Quotation & Commercials

• Prepare business proposals, presentations, and commercial quotations.
• Work closely with management for pricing strategy and contract negotiations.
• Draft MoUs, NDAs, service agreements, and client onboarding documentation.
• Ensure scope, pricing, and delivery timelines are clearly communicated.

5) Pre-Sales Support

• Participate in client meetings, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Support the technical team during proof of concept (POC) and pre-sales presentations.
• Translate technical security solutions into business value for clients.
• Explain ROI, risk mitigation, and compliance benefits to clients.

6) Market Research & Strategy

• Monitor cyber security market trends, competitor services, and pricing models.
• Identify emerging opportunities in areas like:
• AI security
• Cloud security
• Data protection
• Compliance services
• Managed detection and response
• Suggest growth strategies for new service lines and target sectors.

7) Revenue & Target Achievement

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and upselling existing accounts.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reporting.

8) Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain CRM records of leads, meetings, proposals, and closures.
• Submit weekly sales reports and pipeline updates to management.
• Track conversion rates and business performance metrics.

Key Skills Required
