Manufacturing Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Production & Process Management

Plan, organize, and oversee daily fabrication activities to meet production targets.

Monitor machine utilization, reduce downtime, and ensure optimal scheduling.

Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve operational efficiency.

Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fabrication and assembly processes.

Ensure timely completion of projects within committed timelines.

2.⁠ ⁠Quality Control & Compliance

Ensure adherence to ISO / quality benchmarks at every stage of fabrication.

Set up inspection protocols and conduct audits to ensure defect-free production.

Work closely with the QA/QC team to minimize rework and material wastage.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

3.⁠ ⁠Material & Inventory Management

Oversee raw material procurement planning with the purchase team.

Optimize inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

Track consumption patterns and maintain cost control.

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

4.⁠ ⁠Team Leadership & Workforce Management

Lead a team of production engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor technicians.

Allocate work responsibilities based on skills and project priorities.

Conduct regular team briefings to review performance and resolve issues.

Train, mentor, and upskill the workforce for efficiency and quality improvement.

5.⁠ ⁠Coordination & Client Servicing

Work closely with the sales and project management team to align production schedules

with customer requirements.

Provide regular updates on project timelines and delivery status.

Troubleshoot client-specific customization challenges with the design and fabrication teams.

6.⁠ ⁠Cost Optimization & Reporting

Control operating costs without compromising on quality or timelines.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs):

On-time delivery percentage

Production yield & efficiency

Wastage percentage

Machine downtime hours

Cost per fabricated unit

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of uPVC / aluminium window fabrication processes

Expertise in production planning, lean manufacturing, and workflow optimization

Leadership and people management skills

Problem-solving & decision-making ability under pressure

Proficiency in ERP / MIS reporting tools

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Qualifications:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering

Preferred: MBA / Diploma in Operations Management

Experience: Minimum 10 years in window fabrication, manufacturing, or allied industries,

with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
