Selecting the correct items from warehouse inventory based on customer orders or picking lists. This often involves using handheld scanners or other technology. Securely placing picked items into appropriate packaging (boxes, bubble wrap, etc.), ensuring proper labeling, and preparing them for shipment to prevent damage during transit. Assisting with the docking and unloading of incoming shipments from trucks. This involves verifying the items against invoices or packing slips and checking for damages. Transporting received merchandise to designated storage locations within the warehouse, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are organized for easy retrieval. Conducting regular inventory counts, updating inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
