Naveen Kumar

Dr. Naveen Kumar is currently serving as an Associate Professor and Program Head Interaction Design, School of Design, UPES, Dehradun, India. He holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has worked on the problem of cognitive complexity in interface designs due to information flow in HCI systems in Industry 4.0 settings (smart factory) during his PhD. Additionally, he completed a Postdoctoral research focusing on HCI, UX, AR/VR based interface design at GNU, South Korea. With a research focus on enhancing tangible and virtual interfaces, systems, and devices through the application of Human Factors and Human-Computer Interaction methodologies, His expertise extends to various domains including smart factories, VR/AR technologies, and healthcare products. He has contributed significantly to academia with over 25+ articles published in reputable journals and presented at international and national conferences. His contributions have been recognized with two national and two international awards in the field of Human Factors and HCI, along with a patent in the biomedical device design.
