As a Deputy Manager specializing in Business Development, Test, and Trials at Adani Defence and Aerospace, your role is a critical bridge between high-level engineering and the Indian Armed Forces' procurement needs. ​Drawing from your 17.6 years of Army Aviation experience and the current operational landscape of Adani, here are your core responsibilities: ​1. Test & Trials Management (Technical Execution) ​This is where your Airframe and UAV expertise becomes a force multiplier. You don't just watch the trials; you lead the technical readiness. ​Bird Readiness: Ensuring UAVs and "birds" are technically cleared, fueled, and configured according to the mission profile before the Army or BSF arrives for inspection. ​Site & Logistics Coordination: Managing the "ground zero" of trials—liaising for airspace clearances, security permissions for technicians, and ensuring launch/recovery systems (like pneumatic launchers) are operational. ​Trial Documentation: Recording every anomaly or performance metric during 4th Gen VSHORADS or counter-drone trials to provide "fact-based" feedback to the engineering teams. RFI/RFP Response: Drafting the technical portions of "Requests for Information" (RFIs) to ensure Adani’s capabilities (like the Micro UAVs supplied to the IAF) are highlighted correctly. ​Stakeholder Liaison: Using your veteran background to speak the "language of the user." You build trust with MoD officials and Army commanders by explaining complex tech (like laser-based hard-kill systems) in tactical terms. ​Competitor Intel: Tracking what other private players or PSUs are offering in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) or loitering munitions to refine Adani's "Winning Strategy". ​3. Operational Leadership & Safety ​Cross-functional Coordination: Acting as the "Mission Commander" who sits between the design engineers in Hyderabad and the sales team in Ahmedabad to ensure everyone is aligned on the trial timeline. ​
