Reports To: Packaging Supervisor / Production Manager

Job Summary:

The Packaging Assistant will support the packaging operations within the manufacturing unit, ensuring products are packed according to European-style packaging standards. This includes assisting in the preparation, assembly, and inspection of packaging materials to maintain quality, efficiency, and compliance with manufacturing guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and assembling packaging materials as per European packaging designs and specifications.
• Operate or support the operation of packaging machines under supervision, ensuring proper settings and smooth functioning.
• Inspect packaging materials and finished goods for quality, durability, and compliance with company and European packaging standards.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure packaging schedules align with manufacturing timelines.
• Maintain packaging inventory and alert supervisors for replenishment when required.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the packaging area.
• Support in reducing packaging waste and promoting sustainable packaging practices.
• Document packaging counts, quality checks, and daily activities for reporting.
• Assist in training new workers on packaging processes and European-style presentation standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Experience in European-style packaging or export packaging preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, equipment, and quality control processes.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to assist in machine operation and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on product presentation and durability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production targets.
• Teamwork and communication skills for coordination across departments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, and handle packaging materials.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with standing shifts.
